Revolut has appointed Wiktor Stopa as Associate Director responsible for Growth and Marketing in Central and Eastern Europe, while he will continue overseeing the same functions across Western Europe.
The fintech company now serves more than 70 million customers globally.
The move reflects Revolut’s increasing focus on Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), one of the fastest-growing fintech regions in the company’s global network.

Revolut Adds Millions of New Users Across Central and Eastern Europe
Revolut’s Central and Eastern Europe region currently covers nine markets:
- Poland
- Romania
- Hungary
- Lithuania
- Czechia
- Slovakia
- Bulgaria
- Latvia
- Estonia
Together, these markets have reached nearly 17 million retail customers.
During 2025 alone, Revolut added more than 3 million new users in the region, which means the company was onboarding one new customer every 10 seconds.
The largest markets in the region are:
- Poland – more than 5 million users
- Romania – nearly 5 million users
- Hungary – more than 2 million users
- Bulgaria – over 1.3 million users
Major Milestones for Revolut in the Region
Revolut also highlighted several developments across Central and Eastern Europe during 2025.
These include:
- the launch of a Revolut Bank branch in Romania
- 2 million customers milestone in Hungary
- the introduction of mortgage products in Lithuania
- Bulgaria’s transition to the euro
- the launch of Revolut mobile plans in Poland
- accelerated growth in Czechia and Slovakia
Ambition: Become the Primary Banking App for Everyday Spending
According to Wiktor Stopa, Revolut’s ambition remains to become the primary banking account for everyday spending across Europe.
“Our ambition is to become the primary account and everyday spending account for our customers in Central and Eastern Europe. The ‘R app’ offers services that are often unavailable in traditional banking.”
He also encouraged users to follow Revolut’s local channels and explore the company’s new features and financial products.
Who Is Wiktor Stopa

Wiktor Stopa joined Revolut in 2022 as Head of Growth and Marketing for the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland).
In 2023, he took responsibility for growth across Western Europe, including:
- France
- Belgium
- Luxembourg
- Netherlands
- Germany
- Austria
- Switzerland
Starting in 2026, he will expand his role to include Central and Eastern Europe, bringing more than 30 million Revolut customers under his strategic oversight.
Before joining Revolut, Stopa worked as:
- Head of Offline Marketing at CLARK, a Frankfurt-based insurtech company (2018–2022)
- marketing strategist for fintech company LIQID in Berlin
- business development lead at Leverante Group, a marketing agency operating in the UK and Asia
He studied in the Netherlands and China, lives in Germany, and spends vacations with his family in Poland.
